Bright Futures: Class of 2022
Bright Futures funding and requirements are determined by the FL legislature annually and do change from time to time. Current requirements: https://www.floridastudentfinancialaidsg.org/PDF/FAS-FMS.pdf
Courses needed: 4 English, 4 Math, 3 Science, 3 Social Studies, 2 World Language (sequential, same language)
There are 2 levels (as of 1/30/2020):
Florida Academic Scholarship:
- AWARD: 100% of tuition at in-state public university, info for private
- GPA requirement: 3.50 weighted cumulative (Bright Futures calculates this)
- ACT/SAT requirement for Class of 2022: 29/1330
- COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS: 100 hours — see Ms. Colon, College/Career Specialist for details on what qualifies and to submit completed forms
Florida Medallion Scholarship:
- AWARD: 75% in-state public university tuition, private
- GPA requirement: 3.00 weighted cumulative (Bright Futures calculates this)
- ACT/SAT requirement for Class of 2022: 25/1210
