Seniors – College applications are now available online and you should begin working on them!  Don’t procrastinate!  You should be applying to at least 4 universities (at least ONE in-state) and definitely have a “safe” school.  If your first, second and third choices don’t work out, at least you know that college is still going to be in your future and you won’t be scrambling come spring.
In addition to starting your applications, now is a great time to continue working on applying for scholarships.  Private scholarships are highly competitive and take time so work on a few a week and hopefully you’ll be selected for an award!

Juniors and Seniors – SAT and ACT testing dates will begin in Sept. and Oct. but you can register now.  Don’t wait until the last day or the closest locations may be full!  If you feel you may qualify for a waiver to cover the testing fee, come by the BRAND NEW College & Career Lab in Room 501 to talk to me.

Sophomores and Freshman – Now is the time to start exploring colleges, majors, and careers. Don’t wait until the last minute!  Come to the CCL in room 501 to take a career assessment or look through some books to begin the process.
