Erase The Hate Week is our annual event celebrating everyone’s uniqueness and appreciating our differences. We’re celebrating this year from Friday 9/21 daily through Monday 10/1 with a different theme, video, and activities each day, so join us to help build our best school climate! On Friday, January 26, 2018, 70 students will be recognized for their improvements semester 1 of 2017-2018 in the following categories: academic (no failures 1st semester), attendance (SSW criteria), and behavior (admin criteria). These students who struggled with one or more areas before but who showed vast improvement will be invited to a ceremony with certificates and an ice cream sundae bar. Those students eligible will receive an invitation in their 4th period classroom.
Quarter 1 Honor Roll will be on Monday, November 14th at 9:15 in our gymnasium for all 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade students earning above 3.20 GPA in quarter 1. We look forward to celebrating your hard work with the ceremony, certificate, dog tag, and cookies and punch in the commons afterward.
The 8th grade Promotion Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 7th in the Gymnasium building at Raymond B. Stewart Middle School at 9am. Parents may check students out after the ceremony. Light refreshments will be available immediately following the processional.
Monday 1/25/16 starts our 4th annual Erase The Hate week. Erase The Hate week promotes acceptance of others’ differences to eliminate hateful words and actions. Students learn through activities that while we are all unique, we are all people deserving kindness. The week’s activities include: Kahoot, Mix-It-Up lunch, daily Victimproof morning videos, and our FEATURE speaker, TOM THELEN, who will present twice to our students during the day and then again at 6pm to students and families. Pizza and prize drawings available for evening guests.
