Ridge League of Cities Scholarships-Due 4/11/25

Ridge League will award five (5) $1,250 Vocational/Trade Scholarships and five (5) $2,500 Academic Scholarships.   The Vocational/Trade Scholarship is specifically for students that intend to learn a trade while seeking a certificate or degree at one of the local state colleges, Ridge Technical College, or Travis Technical College.

SNAP Scholarship-Due 4/11/25

The School Nutrition Association of Pasco County (SNAP) will be awarding two
scholarships, one $1,000.00 scholarship and one $2,000.00 scholarship to two
qualifying seniors in Pasco County Schools. The purpose of this scholarship is to help students further their education in a nutrition/food service related field. The scholarship will be awarded based upon the following items:

  • SNAP application
  • A 500 word essay on “Why you have chosen a career in nutrition or a food
    service related field and how this scholarship would impact your success.”
  • 1 letter of recommendation from a faculty member
  • Academic transcript

LAW DAY ESSAY CONTEST 2025-Due 4/12/25

This essay competition is sponsored by the West Pasco Bar Association.
Contest winners & their parents will be Invited to attend the West Pasco Bar Association’s Installation Banquet at Spartan Manor. Essay winners will be notified of the date and time of the banquet where the winners will receive their prize.
All essays must be submitted by April 12, 2025.
Essays should be no longer than 750 words, typed, and double space.

Marjorie’s Hope Scholarship-Due 4/14/25

Each year Marjorie’s Hope awards a graduating senior in Pasco Count y with a $2000 scholarship. Our primary focus is someone who has made a positive impact in their community through community service efforts.

5th Annual Hope Scholarship-Due 4/18/25

Since 2021, The Law Office of Philips and Raaymakers has awarded $500 scholarships to students from various local high schools who have faced or are facing adversity or an obstacle in their lives and have overcome or are overcoming that obstacle or adversity. This year, our law office will again offer one $500 scholarship each to 4 students who also have found themselves facing some type of adversity or obstacle in their life.

Deadline: April 18, 2025
Award Type: Scholarship for high school or undergraduate student
Purpose: To offset the cost of post-secondary education or higher education
GPA Requirement: 3.0+ preferred

Sarah Grace VandeBerg Memorial Athletic Scholarship-Due 4/25/25

Sarah VandeBerg was a student athlete at Zephyrhills High School, playing tennis all four years.  She received a tennis scholarship that helped to enable her to continue playing tennis at a Division One level at the University of South Carolina Upstate located in Spartanburg, South Carolina.  During her senior year in college a tragic automobile accident occurred which resulted in the death of Sarah, a cross-country runner and two soccer players.  This memorial scholarship is intended to assist other student athletes in continuing their pursuit of a quality education.

Visions of Musical Excellence Scholarship-Due 4/25/25

The Visions of Musical Excellence Scholarship, offered by The Vision of Arts Inc.

This scholarship provides financial assistance to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional talent, dedication, and a passion for band, chorus, music, dance, theater, and other artistic disciplines throughout high school. It is not a requirement that the student pursue a Music degree in college. The only thing that I require that they were a member of either band, chorus or theater and that they have displayed good character in excellence during their years in high school. Sean Bartell passed away from complication of Stevens Johnson Syndrome / Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis during his Junior year at Wesley Chapel High School. Sean was taking AP/Honors classes, and was 5th in his class.  The Sean Bartell Memorial Fund was established to help both students and teachers, in his memory, because the past is already set, but the future is unwritten.

  • The applicant is responsible for submitting all materials to your career counselor, by April 29th, 2025.
  • Incomplete applications will not be evaluated. This application becomes complete and valid only when all of the following materials have been received:
  • This application completed School representative must verify applicant’s Un-weighted GPA written above.
  • One letter of recommendation from a peer.
  • A copy of documented and confirmed 60 volunteer hours. Copy must be signed by a school representative.

Give Kids a Chance Scholarship-Due 4/30/25

Give Kids A Chance is offering scholarship grants in the amount of $1,250 to high school seniors planning to attend college. To be eligible for a scholarship, you must have the following criteria:

Be a graduating senior from a public high school.

•  Be a Florida resident.

•  Have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA.

•  Must document financial need. Eligible students must have a family income that is less than 60% of the median family income of the area in which they reside.

•  Demonstrate an interest in pursuing higher education.

•  Show involvement in school or community activities.

•  Two (2) letters of recommendation from teachers or other community representatives.

Award recipients are invited to re-apply each year they remain in college. As long as the following criteria is met:

•  Maintain a minimum of a 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale.)

•  Have been in college no more than four years.

Key Dates:

Application Deadline:April 30, 2024 – Last day for applications to be submitted for review (post dated no later than April 30, 2024).

Notification: April 30, 2024 (approximately) – The Miami Foundation will mail award notifications to the student and high school to make arrangements for the issuance of your award.

Award sent to recipient: July 31st, 2024 (approximately) – Sent to recipient (payable jointly to school and recipient.)

Zephyrhills Historical Association Rosemary Trottman Scholarship-Due 4/30/25

The Zephyrhills Historical Association offers the Rosemary Trottman Scholarship to a ZHS Graduate pursuing continuing education in all fields at either community colleges, universities, or trade schools in the State of Florida.  The amount of this year’s scholarship is $1,000.00, one thousand dollars. 

Rosemary Wallace Trottman was an educator and author of The History of Zephyrhills, 1821-1921.  Born in 1901, she was a lifelong resident of Zephyrhills.  She graduated from ZHS in 1919, earned degrees from Florida Southern University and Florida State University, and taught school in Pasco County for 40 years. 

Scholarship monies are paid to the recipient upon confirmation of enrollment.  The intent is to assist the student with the various expenses associated with continuing their education. 

The application form is the Zephyrhills High School General Scholarship Application 24-25, available on the ZHS Website, downloadable as a .docx Word document. 

Letters of reference are optional and should be from educators, work or community service supervisors and/or persons familiar with your skills, talents, or personal character.  

Biographical statements should reflect how your home, school, community, or church experiences have influenced your career goals.

PHSC Foundation Scholarships: Various Due Dates

The PHSC Foundation offers more than 220 endowed scholarships and over 50 annual scholarships which are made possible through generous contributions from local private businesses, foundations, civic organizations, and individuals.

Scholarships are awarded by the Financial Aid Office with the assistance of the online scholarship program software that matches the applications with the scholarship criteria designed by the donors. These matches are then provided to the scholarship selection committee, a cross-section of PHSC staff and faculty who make the final decision.

Students may apply online for a Foundation Scholarship. Many scholarships are based on demonstrated financial need as established by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), so all students are encouraged to complete the online FAFSA.
