Community Service

Community service hours are not required for high school graduation, however, to qualify for many scholarships, including Florida Bright Futures, community service hours are needed. I encourage all students to earn a minimum of 100 hours of community service.

“COMMUNITY SERVICE” IS ALTRUISTIC IN NATURE, WITH THE GOAL OF BENEFITTING THE COMMUNITY AND ITS NEEDS. COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS ARE TO BE COMPLETED FOR A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION AND MUST BE COMPLETED OUTSIDE OF STUDENT’S REGULAR SCHOOL AND/OR WORK SCHEDULE AND MUST BE NON-PAID.
