Hope you are having a great summer. If this is your first-year welcome to the Class Act Band! We are less than a month away from our camps and I’m very much looking forward to having the band together again and doing what we do best! Our camps are mandatory, and our goal is to march and play our first two songs on the field by the end of the week. Yes, even if you have never marched before, you will be by the end of camp. Our veteran students and peer leaders will help you every step of the way. If you have any transportation issues, please let me know and we’ll try to arrange transportation. Your attendance is vital to our band’s success, and you matter!
All our camps will be at Hudson High School. We’ll be inside during the hottest time of the day and outside as the sun makes its way to bed (5pm – 9pm). If you have not done so already, start going outside to acclimate your body. Make sure to take care of your body by eating breakfast/lunch/dinner and drinking fluids before, during and after camp. This will help you to have FUN during camp!

The energy builds into the majestic Olympic Fanfare and Theme, celebrating the pursuit of excellence and the spirit of champions. As the field transforms, we’ll enter a galaxy far, far away with the gentle wisdom of Yoda’s Theme where the journey finds its guiding light. Suddenly, darkness arrives as we play The Imperial March. The journey continues as the gates open to the breathtaking world of Jurassic Park. Finally, our journey reaches the stars with the soaring E.T. Flying Theme, lifting performer and audience alike toward a thrilling emotional finale.
Calling all Parent Volunteers!!!!!!
During band camp and our after-school rehearsals we are in need of a hydration/first aid/cooldown station from 5pm-9pm. As we get into the marching season, we will need volunteers to help with chaperoning and concession stand selling. If you would like to become a band volunteer, please register with Pasco County School using this link: Pasco County Volunteer Application. If you are available, please email me at cadams@pasco.k12.fl.us
