Hello Band Families,
We had an outstanding band camp filled with learning, teamwork and FUN! I’m proud of everything the Class Act Band accomplished. If you missed band camp, don’t worry. Once school starts we’ll get you all caught up during our make-sessions after school. We’re also excited to welcome our new Color Guard Instructor, Ms. Gessa. She has already brought great enthusiasm to the program, and we’re looking forward to an outstanding year with her. A huge THANK YOU to all of our band parent volunteers who helped make band camp a success! Your support with water, snacks, encouragement, and getting an early start on building our props ensures for a fantastic marching season. We truly couldn’t do it without you. Here are a few important dates coming up fast:
August 7 Uniform Fitting from 9am – 3pm in the band room. Every student must be fitted for a uniform, even if you are a returning member.
August 18th Band Camp Make-Up Session from 1:45 – 3:15pm every Tuesday and Thursday till you are all caught up. (if you missed band camp)
August 18th First Marching Band Rehearsal from 4pm – 6:30pm. We will have rehearsals every Tuesday and Thursday thereafter. (Due to the Florida heat we have our rehearsals later in the day to keep everyone safe)
August 18th Band Parent Meeting starting at 7pm. This is an important meeting where we’ll discuss the season, upcoming events, and volunteer opportunities.
