Dear Band Parents,
For the first time in over 10 years our Jazz Band and Percussion Ensemble will be performing at State Solo & Ensemble. In addition, a trombone quartet and nine soloists have also qualified. I couldn’t be more proud of these students and their hard work. Here is some information for you:
State Solo & Ensemble – Thursday, March 19th
Seminole High School, Sanford Fl
Students must provide their own transportation to Seminole High School: 2701 Ridgewood Ave., Sanford, FL 32773 Please plan travel time carefully and arrive early (traffic is always unpredictable). If you still need a ride please let me know.
Percussion Ensemble members should meet in the cafeteria at 9:30am and wear your black concert attire. We will perform at10:30am and everyone is invited to come watch and support.
Jazz Band members will meet in front of the auditorium at 11:30am. Our warm-up time is 12:30pm and our performance is at 1:00pm. Everyone is invited to come watch and support.
Students performing solos or ensembles should plan to arrive at least one hour before their scheduled performance time, to allow time for warm-up and check-in. Performance times are posted in the band room.
