Hello Everyone,
Hope you had a great spring break! Congratulations to our students who performed at State Solo/Ensemble. Three of our students received Superiors!!!
We are now entering our final quarter and I would like to give you some important dates:
March 29th – Chasco Parade in New Port Richey
We will meet at 11am in the band room. We still need a golf cart and at least 10 chaperones. Please let me know if you are available to help. The parade starts at 1pm and we should be back at school around 3pm.
April 10th Jazz MPA at Hernando High School – 700 Bell Ave, Brooksville, FL 34601
Everyone will need to find their own ride to Hernando High School. We will meet at 6:30pm and already dressed in our jazz concert attire (red button up shirt, dress pants). Our performance time is 7:35pm.
April 26th Lakeside Jazz Festival at Port Orange Florida
Our Jazz Band has the honor of playing for this fantastic event and everyone is invited. We will take a charter bus, perform, and listening to college and professional jazz bands. Cost will be $35 dollars, due by April 17th.
May 1st After-School Rehearsals will resume
Monday and Thursdays 1:45pm – 3:45pm till May 16
May 6th & 7th – Drum Major Clinic.
Students wishing to try out for Drum Major will need to attend these very important sessions for the audition. Times will be 1:45 – 3pm
May 9th – Leadership Audition
May 10th – Annual Car Wash Battle 9:30am – 12:30pm
Last year our guard and percussion were the big winners by raising $998 dollars and the first spot on the bucket. Who will it be this year?
May 16th Spring Concert at River Ridge Performing Arts Center 7:00pm
All students will need to be at the center and ready to go by 5:30pm for sound check. You won’t want to miss this show!
May 22nd Band Awards Night at Hudson High School Gym
Come join us for our final band event. We will have a huge potluck feast to be followed by awards.
When making summer vacation plans please keep these date in mind for our camps
July 21 – 24 – Guard and Drum Camp
July 28 – August 1 – Band Camp at Hudson HS
This year has gone by fast and we are going to finishing strong!
