What is BCE?

Business Cooperative Education is a specialized program designed to prepare students for employment in business occupations.

The student should be a junior or senior in high school at least 16 years of age, have successfully completed a core course in Business Technology Education, have a social security card, and reliable transportation.

Students take required high school courses in the morning and receive on-the-job training in occupations of their choice in the afternoon. Typically, students report to work at 1 or 2 pm; however, other hours can be arranged. Students are usually scheduled for 20 hours or more of work each week. Flyer

How do I apply?

  1. Contact Mrs. Fraser to be added to the list of applicants. Email: dfraser@pasco.k12.fl.us and in the subject line write BCE applicant
  2. Talk to your guidance counselor to insure you meet the requirements for this course.
    • Meet the requirements? Request the course be added to your schedule for next year.
  3. Already have a job?
    • When we return to our school, see Mrs. Fraser for requirements for this course.
  4. Applying for a job with Pasco County School District?
    • Stay alert for a contact from potential schools/employers and answer the call/email.
    • Go to the interview: virtual interviews during the current social distancing.
