{"id":1966,"date":"2020-04-27T14:27:40","date_gmt":"2020-04-27T14:27:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/connectplus.pasco.k12.fl.us\/do\/fbla\/?p=1966"},"modified":"2020-04-27T14:55:28","modified_gmt":"2020-04-27T14:55:28","slug":"bce-ojt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/connectplus.pasco.k12.fl.us\/do\/fbla\/bce-ojt\/","title":{"rendered":"BCE-OJT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is<strong> BCE<\/strong>?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Business Cooperative Education is a specialized program designed to prepare students for employment in business occupations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The student should be a junior or senior in high school at least 16 years of age, have successfully completed a core course in Business Technology Education, have a social security card, and reliable transportation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students take required high school courses in the morning and receive on-the-job training in occupations of their choice in the afternoon. Typically, students report to work at 1 or 2 pm; however, other hours can be arranged. Students are usually scheduled for 20 hours or more of work each week.  <a href=\"http:\/\/connectplus.pasco.k12.fl.us\/do\/fbla\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/BCE-Flyer.pdf\">Flyer<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>All federal and state labor\/employment laws regarding minors working and must be adhered to<\/strong>.&nbsp; For specifics see:   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youthrules.gov\/know-the-limits\/index.htm\">Youth Rules<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do I apply?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Contact Mrs. Fraser to be added to the list of applicants.
