National Suicide Prevention

Pay attention to the following signs:

  1. Talking or joking about committing suicide.
  2. Saying things like “I would be better off dead or there is no way out.”
  3. Writing stories or poems about death.
  4. Engaging in reckless behavior.
  5. Giving away prized possessions.
  6. Saying goodbye to friends and family for the last time.
  7. Seeking out pills, weapons, or thinking of plans.

  5. Change and act on what you can control and release the things that are not in your control
