High Impact Instruction

Instruction is aligned to the rigor of the standards, reflect the ELA & Math Shifts and integrate Marzano’s Instructional Framework.

  • Our teachers meet weekly in Professional Learning Communities to plan, deliver, and reflect on their instructional practices.
  • Our school incorporates a thirty-minute morning Intervention Time four days a week to meet the needs of all of our students.
  • Our teachers are going to choose one area of instruction to focus on this year. They will receive training in their chosen area and apply their new learning to their classrooms. ·
  • Our teachers are also going to observe other classrooms to see best practices.

Data Driven Decisions

Use data to identify, support and monitor needs of at-risk students.

  • Analyze data from math fluency checks, reading IRLA data walls, common formative assessments, and district quarterly summative assessments.
  • Identify at-risk students and provide tiered levels of support.
  • Develop specific, targeted interventions to meet students’ needs.

Collaborative Culture

Continual focus on the connections between mission, vision, core values, goals, and intentional professional development.

  • Maintain culture of collaboration and communication through Professional Learning Community structures.
  • Celebrate students and staff on an ongoing basis through monthly programs such as the Golden Ticket and STAR Student.

Sand Pine Elementary School is part of the Pasco County School System.
