High Impact Instruction

Instruction is designed to create student learning experiences that match the rigor of the standards.

  • Develop learning targets for each standard to ensure instruction matches the rigor of the standards in reading and writing.
  • Deepen understanding of the math standards and mathematical practices in order to design and deliver instruction that ensures student learning of the standards.
  • Enhance science instruction to include more experiments and hands on opportunities to deepen students’ understanding of the scientific process.
  • Provide tiered supports to all students.

Data-Based Decisions

Data is used to deliberately monitor and continuously improve student support systems.

  • Monitor and maintain current systems for tracking individual student progress, identifying patterns in Tiers 1 - 3 across grade levels and assigning tiered support services.
  • Analyze data from common formative and summative assessments, IRLA and quarterly checks.
  • Implement targeted interventions based on needs of students.

Collaborative Culture

Focus on relationships through the connection of core beliefs, vision, mission and goals.

  • Intentionally plan for staff and student recognitions and celebrations around collaboration and cooperation.
  • Increase student engagement through a variety of academic and non-academic opportunities and through the clear and consistent implementation of expectations.
  • Maintain culture of caring and commitment through communication, continuation of PLCs and celebration/recognition.
