High Impact Instruction

Together we will create standards-focused, rigorous learning experiences in student-driven classrooms.

All PLC teams will intentionally plan for routines and instruction that will meet the rigor of the Reading, Writing, Math and Science Standards.

  • PLCs will intentionally plan standards-driven instruction that intentionally targets rigor, includes gradual release of responsibility and includes active student engagement in visible thinking.
  • All staff will include daily use of clear learning goals/targets, and evidence of student self-assessment of standards.
  • Daily writing instruction, student writing, and feedback given based on common rubric.
  • Use of inquiry model and ISNs to increase active student learning.

Data Driven Decisions

Together we will intentionally plan for multi-tiered systems of support for ALL students to meet grade-level standards, based on data.

All PLC teams will engage in the problem-solving cycle to review data, adjust interventions, plan for remediation, and enrichment based on progress-monitoring data.

  • Team/Classroom Action Planning based on Tier I and Tier II data.
  • Student (Data) Growth binders for students to self-monitor progress and regulate behavior.
  • Monitor and plan for the achievement of Lowest 25% in ELA & Math.

Collaborative Culture

Together we will create a common language that all students can learn at high levels and systems that support positive academic and behavior management.

All PLC teams, our Student Leadership Team, and community stakeholders will meet regularly to lead and monitor our PBIS mission to build a collaborative school culture.

  • PBIS Team creates systems of monitoring and problem solving to increase student positive behavior, motivation, and engagement.
  • Monthly Family PRIDE Nights to engage parents in our vision of collaboration.
